AMT-SYBEX are delighted to welcome former Chief Information Officer at National Grid Electricity Transmission, John Seglias, into a Board Advisory position.  His wealth of experience at executive level will be deployed to support the leadership team with strategy and product development within the ever-evolving energy market.

Owing to his areas of expertise, John will be focusing on helping with the launch of AMT-SYBEX’s new OptiFlow product, an energy industry tailored Revenue assurance and cost optimisation product that is vital for the industry at this difficult time.  OptiFlow brings together AMT-SYBEX’s industry and process knowledge, built over the past few decades, and enables energy suppliers to perform a revenue health check with the potential to find large sums of money to go to their bottom line.  John will also be building on our strategic position in supporting the energy suppliers through the current energy crisis.

AMT-SYBEX Managing Director, Alistair Hopkins, said:

I’m delighted to welcome John to our Senior Leadership Team. His experience and advice will be of significant benefit to AMT-SYBEX as we continue our Transformation to become a product led technology company, building world class SaaS applications that help the UK energy market in the drive to greater efficiency, customer service and achieving the UK’s Net Zero targets.

John has a track-record of operating at executive level, leading digital functions, delivering mission-critical programmes, and assisting businesses in extracting maximum benefit and value from technology.  He has extensive experience of supporting organisations through transformation and fast growth periods, including mergers and acquisitions, outsourcing and offshoring of IT Services.

John's achievements are recognised in the wider industry through his consistent representation on the UK’s top 100 CIOs and the 50 most influential people in UK IT.

John’s previous post was as CIO for Electricity Transmission at National Grid, where he was accountable for all aspects of IT and Digital delivery to the business.  His remit was to guide them through the regulatory framework process, and to transform it through the application of innovative technology.

On the challenges ahead, John commented:

The Energy sector is undergoing one of its biggest transformations in generations, and I look forward to supporting AMT-SYBEX in their transition to a product-led business, and their role in helping the UK sector achieving the country's Net Zero targets.
